Trump's Family Member Receives Expert Advice from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star has considerable online following
Kai Trump will have plenty of high-profile backers when she starts her first LPGA appearance later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to a former US president, was granted a special exemption to participate at the Annika competition in Florida.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, operates multiple international courses and regularly plays against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Just stay calm."
"My grandpa essentially advised me to go out there and have fun," she added.
"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He won't be there for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, the golfer has competed in a mere three competitions recently and has position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
But she's able to receive tips from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He represents the best player globally," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's a superior person. He suggested me to play, relax, following the flow."
Kai will face several top competitors in the sport at the Annika, including second-ranked the champion, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
The LPGA stated that Kai's presence exposes the sport to wider groups, specifically with the next generation.
The young star maintains substantial online presence and just introduced an exclusive fashion and living company.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
