Reports indicate that fan-favorite stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are set to appear once again in the newest chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The project is now in the works.

The duo are returning as Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the characters they made famous. It is believed their appearance will likely occur in a brief glimpse ahead, as the original saga concluded with their characters settled into family life.

Sunrise on the Reaping is adapted from a recent book by series creator Suzanne Collins. It acts as the second prequel film after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Once again is Francis Lawrence, who directed the majority of the previous films in the series.
