Former US treasury secretary Lawrence Summers is departing from the directorate at the ChatGPT creator, just several days after a batch of electronic messages between him and notorious criminal the accused trafficker became widely known.
The economist remarked in a statement that he was "grateful for the privilege to have contributed, optimistic about the prospects of the enterprise, and eagerly await observing their progress".
The prominent academic, who once presided over the prestigious university, announced on recently that he would be withdrawing from public responsibilities due to his connections with the convicted sex offender.

The recently released communications demonstrated that the economist communicated with Epstein until the eve of the financier's 2019 detention for alleged human trafficking of young people.

This news arrives after the entire Congress of the US legislature agreed on this week to endorse a bill that would require the Department of Justice to make public its files on the case.
