Eulogies Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the couple.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt able to express about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has passed that I can at last express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced passing more hours together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, commenting that he cannot recall "any day without joy".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to prevent the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the local authorities.

A court order put a security hold on the files to prohibit the public release of "related notes, evidence and photographs" connected to the active case.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a record citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Response and Criticism

Following the deaths, public individuals shared varying responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making provocative statements that were broadly criticized by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the those speaking out recently. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan described the remarks as "shocking" and remarked they revealed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan finished by remarking that an aide could have stepped in when the impulse to speak on the passing was made.
