He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."
Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Friend and Collaborator
In a distinct piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.
"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.
Scorsese mentioned Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to prevent the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the local authorities.
A court order put a security hold on the files to prohibit the public release of "related notes, evidence and photographs" connected to the active case.
The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a record citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".
